Arundhiti Roy

The Booker Prize winning author, Arundhati Roy delivered a powerful talk at the 4th Anuradha Ghandy Memorial Trust Lecture on the 20th of January, 2012 at Xaviers college, Mumbai, India.

In this talk she discusses how the richest in India have “hollowed out democracy”. She further expands her view to the rest of the world and asks  from “Rockefeller to Mandela, Vedanta to Anna Hazare…. How long can the cardinals of corporate gospel buy up our protests?”
